DUXBURY OIL GOES “DOWN ON THE FARM”
TO HELP SAVE 175-YEAR-OLD O’NEIL FARM

Company donates funds to keep 150-acre dairy farm up-and-running

DUXBURY, MA (December 17, 2004) - Duxbury Oil recently donated $500 to the Wildlands Trust of Southeastern Massachusetts, to help aid in the preservation of O'Neil Farm, a 150-acre dairy farm located in Duxbury. This ambitious preservation project strives to maintain the land as a working farm and save it from the threat of development. O'Neil Farm's pristine pastures are home to some 70 cows, as well as wild turkeys, swallows, orioles and other wildlife. The farm has been kept within the O'Neil family for 175 years. The Wildlands Trust plans to keep the land available for students, hikers and everyone who appreciates the areas of unspoiled, natural beauty that still exist along Boston's South Shore.
